Complaint / review text:
Today I dared to use 5 coupons on 5 skeins of yarn at the Jo-ann store in Deer Trace shopping mall in Kohler (Sheboygan) Wisconsin. It clearly says coupon 40% off one regular priced item.
It stands to reason that I need a separate coupon for EACH skein of yarn. As parish nurse with a shawl ministry we go thru a lot of yarn; I buy yarn for several elderly who on very limited incomes insist on paying for their own yarn. Consequently the coupon is important. I copied each separately from the website, asked the woman at the counter upon entering the store if I could use all 5 and she said only if she rang up each skein separately.
OK sounds logical. I get the 5 skeins and go to check out. NO ONE BEHIND ME AT ALL IN LINE purposely so she would not have to feel pinched for time. Second check out lady finishing a customer.
Maybe only 4-5 customers in the entire store by the way mid Saturday afternoon! The gray hair clerk wearing ear phones for hands free talking on phone said in a very rude tone of voice "because of the line, she could only honor one coupon". I turned around and no where near the check out was a customer looking at magazines. This rude, lazy, clerk, shouted over to them that they were the next customer.
I heard them say they were looking. She clearly was bothered to ring up 5 skeins of yarn and this was simple sale! However, the continued hassle with your coupons just is NOT worth it. More than that the rudeness of this clerk tells me customers who spend money are just not important.
I make the commitment to never shop this Joann again.
Very happy to have you spend the money to mail the brochure but once it arrives it goes directly in the trash from here on in.
