Complaint / review text:
I placed order 3 months ago on Fredericks.com. The company was offering free shipping on all orders and the promotion was valid for 1 month (no need to apply the promo code at checkout). I received a confirmation number for my order with free shipping. I did receive my order and my card was charged for the order price and applicable taxes (no shipping cost). After 3 months, I received an email from the company that there was a billing error 3 months ago and they will charge shipping costs on the card I used to place the order. The email says "We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you. Your business and satisfaction are very important to us.in order to prevent this from happening in the future, new procedures and controls have been put into place." However, at the time I placed the order, their website clearly stated: free shipping on any order, no minimum required!
I contacted the customer service at Fredericks of Hollywood and they said there is nothing else they can do. The company has decided to charge customers for promo code errors/billing errors! I am very dissatisfied by the service offered by this company.
