I recently ordered some sale items online for a project and was pleased that they were on sale. Last week I received the order, the invoice stated the entire order had shipped, when I checked the items in the box I found that I was missing four items that I needed for my project.
I called customer service and was told that the items were out of stock and I was given a refund which I did not request. I was also told that I could reorder the items online for the full price! I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold when the operator came back I was told that there was no supervisor available when I questioned her on this the operator hung up on me. I called back and got a different operator and after explaining the situation was told that JoAnn Fabrics online ordering does not ship items that are out of stock but they would do it this one time so I didn't go buy the items at a different store.
So after waiting another week I received an email this morning stating the items in question were out of stock and would not be shipped. Any other company that I have ever dealt with online always ships items that are not in stock when they come back in stock. I was told to reorder at the full price. The items in question are still showing in stock online but I am being told that I cant get the sale price that I ordered at originally.
I am sick of Joanne fabrics bad business practices and rude nasty customer service people I will shop elsewhere from now on.
I have a craft business and make frequent large purchases so I am sure Michaels or Hobby Lobby would love to have my business. Never shopping online or in the stores again.
