Complaint / review text:
On Saturday 31 May 2014, bought a sofa at Furniture City, Centurion.
I paid the amount of R7 79.00 (including R380.00 for delivery) in cash and was assured stock is available and delivery will take place on Tuesday 3 June 2014. On Tuesday 3 June I took an afternoon from work awaiting delivery. On the afternoon, The following was indicated:
oStock was not available in the morning (seemingly the stock which was available on Saturday was nit available, although it was booked); stock only arrived at the store room on the afternoon of 3 June after I called.
OI requested the delivery take place on Saturday 7 June 2014 as it will not be possible to take time from work.
OI was assured deliveries are made on Saturdays and I will be contacted on Wednesday 4 June between 14:00 and 16:00 to make arrangements for the delivery.
Thursday 5 June I tried on several occasions to make telephonic contact with the shop but the lines remained engaged. On 6 June I was informed deliveries are not made in Saturdays, my order was only received on Thursday and stock arrived on the same day. I cancelled the transaction forwarded my banking particulars and is still awaiting my money. Please assist!
