On Monday the 28th of July I went to Stop and Shop in New Paltz NY and I left my umbrella.in about two minutes, I realized. I called and they told me it's there. Anyway I didn't remember so I went Wednesday. The customer lady showed me what she had. Mine was not there, so I ask her where could my umbrella if they told me it's there. She said well I can't do anything. Well ok I asked to speak to the manager. The manager name is Ed. I was expecting from him to apologized for the situation but the approach that this man approach, I was taken a back.
So he came over to me, no hello, no hi. The first thing he said was (SO WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT!). Am like really, what do I expect. I left my stuff here, I call and one of your worker told me it's here so why now it's nowhere to be found. He proceeded to say it's not their belongings so they can't do anything. It's not even about the silly umbrella, it's the approach on how the MANAGER deals with the matter. He was mean, rude and disrespectful. All I did was stand there listen and listen and listen because I was so shock. I said 'You know what, if this is how you guys deal with customers when things like this happen, you all need to be fired.' I walked away because I feel ashamed, disgusted and embarrassed. I love Stop and Shop but these managers need know how to deal with their customers. Am disgusted!
