I previously had several contracts with Vodacom which have expired. With these contracts I created an online profile on the Vodacom website. I have not been to the site for a while and have forgotten my password.
I now have a new sim card which I would like to register with and access my online profile. Unfortunately I cannot log in because I have forgotten my password and I cannot use the "forgot password" option because I no longer have my old sim cards.
I called customer service yesterday to request help to reset my password. I was categorically told that as I no longer have the old sim cards I cannot reset the password and will never again be able to log into my profile.
While I appreciate the features of the website designed for my own security, I find this incredibly inefficient and the answer I got from the agent was not acceptable. I will no longer purchase any more data or open any new contracts with Vodacom as a result of the "sorry, you are " attitude.
