I signed up for a cell account with Altech Autopage. First month was approx. R1500.00 billing. I went into the store where they then made me sign a "my limit form (which I have as proof) this "my limit form" was to protect me so I would not run a high bill. It would serve that when the account ran R500.0 over my normal contract amount the account would be cut off.
The months to follow, this did not happen, and the account stood at R11 000.00 after the third month, I went into the store and queried (this was when it was standing at R6000.00) and they assured me it should not have escalated so high and the following month it would be ok. It was not. The months to follow were a series of mails between myself and the store, which got nowhere, then a series of mails to the accounts dept. Which never got any response or help. I was fighting a losing battle against a large corporation a small letter that I thought was legal and binding (the my limit form) Now I see I have a huge amount on my name on ITC from them which is crippling my chances for any credit.
I want my name cleared. I should not be responsible for an amount I signed against.
