I applied for a 4Meg line with 20Gig of data bundle last week at the Beacon Bay branch. They installed my line, got my router and installed it myself, was very impressed with the prompt service. The first night I did a speed test and was running at 3.42Mbps of which I was happy with as I know you will never get the full 4Mbps. On the 03/11/14 I noticed that my internet is very slow and did a speed test again just to find out its running at 1.82Mbps. This morning it was even lower. I went to Telkom in Vincent Park where they logged a complaint. Tonight its even slower. Now how can I be paying R600 for a 4Mbps line if I'm not even getting 2Mbps? In this case I can just go for a 2Mbps line and pay much less from Mweb. Is Telkom doing this with all their customers just to safe money. I would suggest everyone reading this to do a speed test to determine if you are getting what you are paying for. I'm honestly not a happy customer right now. Please see this as a matter of urgency.
