I have been a MTN customer for over 20 years now and have never experienced as bad reception as over the past couple of months. If you look at my call receive and made records you will notice how many calls go straight to my voicemail, yet my phone is on, with a reasonable signal strength. I often find my phone rings once and then I get a text to say someone left a voicemail. When I call back they either say it went straight to voicemail or they say it rang continuously, yet on my side it rang once. The other problem we have is dropping calls. I find sometimes I have to call one person 3 to 4 times just to complete the conversation as the calls get dropped. I am not the only one complaining. My husband called in the the MTN call centre last week to complain. They asked both of our phone numbers and guess what, nothing further. They have not contacted either of us. Shocking, disgusting service from MTN. You will be losing one of your oldest customers with my next upgrade. Vodacom has the best reception and customer service.
