Complaint / review text:
Beginning Nov we called Telkom to let them know we'll be moving in mid Dec & would like to have our account moved to another address, & a line would need to be installed. Both parties confirmed that this would take place on 15 Dec. We purposefully asked for this date as we knew we are billed mid-month to mid-month. We were told that the line installation & change over would not effect our bill in anyway, & we would not be charged anything extra.
About a week later, we were called saying they were going to install the line the next day, & that that was the only day they could do so. We hadn't even moved in yet & told them this wasn't suitable, but we managed to organise for the landlord to open up for them. We again checked that we wouldn't be billed extra, esp since they were installing the line earlier. They again confirmed that there would be no extra charge & the line would only be activated on 15 Dec.
Bill is incorrect as follows:
- charged for the new place for Nov/Dec (we weren't there, and line only started on 15 Dec)
- charged for Dec/Jan at old place (we aren't there, & line stopped on 15 Dec)
Logged a complaint last week & just got a SMS saying we must pay full amount!
