Complaint / review text:
I had a 24 month Smartdata 2GB contract with CellC starting in October 2012, this contract expired in October 2014. I was paying R99 a month for this contract. I assumed the debits would be stopped since the contract had expired but they continued in fact they more than doubled to R244.74 a month! I phoned the call centre on the 2nd December 2014 to find out why I am still being debited. They said the contract had expired and was now month to month. I would still get 2GB of data a month but I would now be charged R244.74. On the 2nd December 2014 they assured me they would cancel the contract and I would no longer be debited. On the 31/12/2014 I was debited AGAIN this time for R279.00. I phoned the call centre again today 05/01/2015 and they told me yes the contract had been cancelled but I will be debited until the end of January 2015. So I must expect ANOTHER debit of R244.74 on the 31/01/2015! I have not touched the data, the sim card has been in my top drawer for the last 3 months. Please tell me WHY on earth should I continue to be debited a few extra months? The contract expired in October, I then cancelled it AGAIN in December! STOP debiting me!!
