Complaint / review text:
I have ordered a device with a new contract and it was delivered on the 24th December 2014 and i found that the device has a manufacturers defect (Sony Experia). I called the Vodacom call centre to report the issue and the consultant advised that it is known issue and they will escalate it. But i am disappointed that Vodacom still sells us phones that they know that the model has defects. Then I requested for the device to be collected back by Vodacom because it was within 7 days and the device was collected on the 2nd Jan 2015.
The issue I have is my number is still in a contract and it hasn't been cancelled. It's been 3 days now that I logged a call to cancel but my number is still a contract (reference: S3-8UP8B-BNWS). That means I have to pay for a device that is sitting at Vodacom!!!
To my surprise I called again to the cancellation/after sales department and my cancellation could not be traced!
Can my contract please be cancelled ASAP.
