I have been an AT&T customer since 2005 with unlimited data on our smartphones. The reason we have the smartphones is to be able to surf the web, stream music, etc.
Up until 2 months ago, there has been no issues with our usage which has not changes since we acquired the phones and the unlimited data package. However, in the last two months, we have gotten text messages telling us we are in the top 5% of data usage and therefore our data streaming will be slowed. Excuse me, but I pay a high price for my unlimited data usage and by slowing my streaming, you are in effect limiting my data usage. When I called AT&T there response was simply to use the wi-fi.
That would be a great option if I were somewhere that wi-fi was available. There next suggestion was to change my data plan.
Why in the world would I change to a limited data plan when I have the unlimited? Just another way for AT&T to try and stick it to the consumer and customers that have been with them for extended periods of time!
