Complaint / review text:
I agreed to a 2 year contract about 5 months ago under the pretense that my payment would be $120 for a 2 year contract for a "shared" plan for my daughter's line and mine. Now my daughter's plan expired and ntelos was charging me $20 more a month for her plan.
I did not renew her contract to avoid paying $20 extra a month. I got her a Frog plan with unlimited everything which is actually less expensive than mine now. I had to change my plan from unlimited everything which would be $100 by itself to unlimited talk which is $59 a month by itself. My daughter's plan is $55 a month with unlimited talk, text and web on a prepay account.
Which I will probably changed to a different company all together. I really don't want to do business with a company that is so dishonest and misleading. I was told since I changed the contract the fee would now be $139. I only made changes because I was told that the amount was going up $20.
Why would I pay more for the same service. I was told she would have more coverage. I did not ask for nor need more coverage. I was given a price of $120 for the two phones and led to believe that this would be for 2 years.
Never told that it could or would change in 2 months. The representative told me that they did not know that it would change at that time. Well how is it legal for it to change? I was looking into the Frawg plan for myself or a Kroger plan for myself at the time that I renewed and was given the good price of $120 for the two.
That is the only reason why I signed up for the two years because I was given that price for two phone at unlimited everything. I was truly mislead in this matter. And feel like I have absolutely no recourse. I've spoken with representatives, left messages for managers, and left a message for the person that actually signed me up.
This is so dishonest to get people locked in on a two year contract and then act like I'm crazy or something when I try to get some resolution. Thank you for your time.
