On 25 February 2015, I notified Cell C of my intention to cancel my cell phone contract, upon expiry of the 24 months period on 12 March 2015. I was informed that my request was received, processed and it was confirmed that my contract will be terminated at midnight on 12 March 2015, whereafter the contract will automatically be converted to pre paid. It was further confirmed that I will make payment for all charges end March 2015, which I accepted.
I used the portal system to establish how I can load airtime to the SIM card, but to my surprise I am still being billed on contract on 14 March 2015.
I contacted the call centre and was informed that my cancellation was processed, but that no date of deactivation was set by Cell C.
I am furious! I have communicated with Cell C about 20 times since my cancellation notification on 25 February 2015 and was assured countless times that:
1. When to give notice in order to terminate timeously
2. That my contract will terminate at midnight on 12 March 2015.
3. That my contract will be converted to prepaid after 12 March 2015.
4. That final payment for all charges until end 12 March 2015 will be debited end March 2015.
I now cannot port
