Vodacom cannot help me port

Hi,

I currently have a contract with Autopage on Cell C. My 24 months elapsed at the end of last month. I called Autopage a month back to advise me on how to go about cancelling and porting to Vodacom direct. I was advised that the best way is to stay on a contract after the 24 months and Vodacom can easily port me.

Today I spent the better part of the day on the phone with Vodacom.in the end I was advised by Vodacom that I cannot port while I am on contract. I need to move to prepaid before I can be ported. So I called Autopage again to do this. They advised that if I cancel the contract and move to prepaid then my number cannot be used for a contract for 3 months. So I should do the port while on contract. Autopage advised that many customers have done the port this way. However, after this, the Vodacom consultant still insists that her system will not allow this and I have to wait the 3 months in that case.

I am now just frustrated. Please HELP!!!
