Approximately a month ago I was a victim of identity at a Vodacom branch where a person upgraded and sim swapped my DATA contract for a nice new Samsung S5 and Smart S contract, 2 days later applied for a IPhone 5S and opened accounts at some clothing stores, the clothing stores sorted my problem out within 3 days backed up in letters. Now 29 days later I am still not re-connected by Vodacom, have no idea what will happen on my account as it is on debit order after numerous phone calls and e-mails. Vodacom put their prices on additional simcards up by a THOUSAND%, from about R10/month to R99/month, this they will never advertise! When you phone their call centre the staff is unfriendly, got a phone put down in my ear after asking to speak to a manager! The staff there CANNOT send an e-mail or SMS if you do not have a Vodacom cell number just to get a reference. The only person that was helpful was a analyst, unfortunately that's where it ended. Eventually trying to re-connect me they re-activated the swapped simcard. I let them know but still no reply from Vodacom.in reply to one of my e-mails they also completely missed the point.
