Efusal to cancel membership on contract

Complaint / review text:
I approached flexiclub early in 2014 and asked them to cancel my membership as I can no longer afford the annual fees levied. They requested that I pay up my 2014 fees, which I had on debit order. The last debit went off at the end of September 2014. I called them therafter requesting them to now cancel my membership as I do not want to go further into debt. They refuse to cancel my membership as they state that I now have to pay my 2015 levies and be within a window period between January and May in order to cancel. I cannot afford the levies. I do not mind forfeiting the points that I own. I just do not want to be further into debt. Do I not have a right to cancel owing to my financial status? Please help
