Complaint / review text:
We have been invited to attend a presentation after we were informed that we won a holiday in South Africa. We took part in a survey over 2 years ago. We were informed that by bringing our credit cards with, we stand a chance to win cash. We attended and was persuaded to buy membership into a holiday opportunity. We kept on telling them that we cannot afford this and it will put us into financial difficulty. The kept on lowering the amounts to the minimum so that we cannot say no. We know that we cannot afford a once off R8 000 and a debit order of over R800 per month over 2 years. They maxed our credit card with amounts we did not even know we had available. Our cards were swiped multiple times. We have been harassed over weekends for the outstanding amount. They could only manage to get R2 000 from my husband's credit card, but not the rest. We cannot afford this and want the R2 000 back and membership cancelled. We have had no effort from our requests to cancel the debit order.
