On the 19.12.14 I purchased a flight ticket from Mango Airlines and paid the amount of R 995.39 via cellphone banking for a 06.01.15 scheduled flight. When I called the airline on the 02.01.15 to enquire what my reference for the flight was as I had not received an email confirming my flight reference I was told that my payment was not reflecting on their system & I was not booked for a flight for the 06.01.15. I contacted my bank and my bank was able to confirm that the payment had gone off and that the funds were received by Mango. I contacted Mango customer service again and forwarded through to them my bank statement their IT department confirmed that the payment was not updated on time and I should be refunded. The flight was meant to be on the 06.01.15 its now the 16.01.15 and I am still awaiting my refund.
I had to arrange alternative transport due to they not updating their system in time, I have to continually email them to find out what exactly is the issue only to be informed that I need to email a copy of my id. Why is it that I need to keep following up when Mango Airlines is the one who is required to refund me? This is really a terrible inconvenience!!!:- (
