Complaint / review text:
I've owned this timeshare since 1999, never had peoblem, but recently totally a whole new experience to me. Maybe they're facing some FINANCIAL ISSUES, they want to rip you off.
I called to make my quarterly due, after everything is amost done, right before charging my card, the rep informed me that there was a $9 charge for over the phone transaction, I was upset that he didn't warn me in the beginning of the conversation. So I told him that I would mail my payment, he said I had one week to mail my payment to avoid the late fee. I mailed the payment the next day, and recorde the date that I mailed my payment. I called a week later to confirm if they have received my payment, because they I didn't see the payment has cleared my bank, one of the rep.
Said she hasn't seen anything posted to my account, after a long talk of conversation of explaining I mailed my payment a week ago, she suggested that I should request to comittee to waive the late fee, so I did. I asked how this committee decide to waive the late fee, based on what, she couldn't explain, then I asked for her supervisor, she couldn't explain to me either, so I ended the conversation there. Couple days later I received a letter from this 'committee' saying that my request to waive the late fee was denied. My payment was never cleared.
Yes, they charged me late fee!
Yes, I agree that this company is full of untrusting employees.
Just be careful with Monarch Grand Vacations. I hope someone in this company will take a step and end this ridicule of themselves or someone out there who can help this company to operate better, especially in customer service skills.
