Complaint / review text:
While flying to a Cancer Treatment Center, one of the US Airways agents put a frivolous charge on my credit card.
We knew that to check in one bag per person would be a $25 charge and to check those bags OUTSIDE is an additional #2 per person. Fine. Whatever.
The problem with these people is some agent put a $42 charge on the same credit card I used for who knows what. It was $21 per person.
After several phone calls to their customer service, I found out the charges were for some kind of preferred boarding, whatever that is.
We both flew coach economy. We both waited in line to board like everyone else. I have no idea why this agent/person would throw these charges onto my card at will without my consent.
Thing is, you can't get anywhere with these people. If you call, they wont help you. They pass the buck by saying you must fill out a complaint form online. (How does that work for people without a computer)?
I filled out the form more than 3 times and have never heard a word back from anyone. Whenever I try to call the cooperate offices, the line is always busy.
Someone is going to pay for doing this. I don't understand how you can be charged for something you didnt ask for or want, but the main problem is thewir customer service. They dont have any
