Complaint / review text:
I was on the Megabus headed to Washington DC and at Union Station around 7:30pm, my luggage was picked up by a young male who had the same bag but in no way could it have been mistaken to belong to the other party. My bag was twice as heavy, it was a black duffel bag 28 in., I marked it specifically with a sharpie marker in black on the silver linings on the front of the bag. I had a lot of personal items in the bag including my diploma from high school 2003 graduate.
My son and daughters clothing along with mine was inside the bag. A new dress, 2 pair of heels, 3 cell phones. One itself cost me over $300.
Basically my life in a bag seeing im going through transition.
I did talk to customer service on the phone so im writing this to confirm contact with Megabus.
I was told id be called and emailed within 5-7 business days.
The trip was paid for 3 passengers and all 3 of our things were taken, so We will be expecting our insurance coverage of liability to the max per passenger if our bag is not returned in its entirety containing all of our items.
The bag was locked and keys were not kept in that bag I stored them in my other bag.
Their bag was unlocked and I sent it to the lost and found dept. At Union Station.
