I made the mistake of trying to order a new receiver for my AT&T Uverse TV service. After tying unsuccessfully online to place my order I called the customer service line.
After 13 minutes of wait time I was told in very broken English that I would have to pay $149 for a technician to come to my house plus an additional $49 service fee. When I asked why I needed a tech to come to my house being the cable jack was already activated by an AT&T tech during installation I was told that I had to pay because that is what her screen said.
When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told the same thing and finally transferred where I was disconnected after waiting 46 plus minutes of being told that "we appreciate your patience, please continue to hold. For faster service you can visit us at ATT.com..."
