Directv is the worst!

Buyer beware when it comes to DirecTV. Lets start from the beginning.

I scheduled an installation for three days ago (17JAN2012). The subcontractor who showed up claimed he could not get a clear view of the southern sky. Not true. There are plenty of areas in my yard with clear view.

Unfortunately, they are all about 10 yards away from the house. I believe that this individual simply didn't want to have to dig and install a cable that long. He was at best incompetant, and at worst lazy. The sub was supposed to send an area supervisor for a second opinion on the dish installation with 24-48 hours.

72 hours later, not even phone call. I called DirecTV TWICE today to get a super out here. Nothing. Called again to complain, re-schedule the installation AGAIN, and hopefully get some compensation in the form of a temporary discount on my monthly bill.

No dice. The customer service rep acted like he didn't care one iota. Bascially, he acted like a total punk. At that point, I'd had enough and cancelled my installation and want nothing further to do with these bums.

I switched to Dish Network this evening.

Had they put forth just a little effort, and shown just a little respect, I would have hung with DirecTV.
