Directtv ~ misinforms it clients. Directtv representatives inform you that you are entitled to a "free upgrade. These "" upgrades are far from free. What Directtv fails to tell you is that you can be charged as high as $480.00 cancellation fee if you cancelled prior to 2 years for this "" free upgrade.
Although, Directtv tells you it is free, you still have to pay a "monthly lease" however, this fee has a different title on the bill. So, basically, you pay a monthly lease fee, another hd fee, and then you cancelled you can be billed up to $480.00 and you have to send them back the equipment. (I am still trying to find out where the free is!)
Moreover, Directtv representatives will tell you that they guarantee your bill to be a specified amount and then will raise your bill at least 30 dollars ~ after they have guaranteed the monthly rate and come up with some new story and modify their bill to justify the increased rate. I have been a Directtv customer for over 10 years and I am being charged $360.00 to cancel their service and they get all the equipment back. So Directtv's guarantees are all lies...
